University of Twente develops tiny gradient chip

Nanotechnologists at the University of Twente’s MESA+ research institute have developed a tiny chip that makes it easy to create micrometre scale gradients. Gradients are gradual transitions in specific properties, such as acidity. This newly-developed system can be used to efficiently measure the reaction kinetics of various chemical or biological reactions. Op 30 november ontving Janneke Veerbeek in Haarlem de Pfizer Afstudeerprijs voor Life Sciences 2012 uitgereikt door de Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen. Ze ontving een oorkonde en een geldbedrag van 5000 euro.
