Resume
David Fernandez Rivas was born in Havana City (Cuba) in 1981. He graduated form Nuclear and Power Engineering in June 2004 on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling of a Regenerative Heat Pipe Exchanger (at the Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technologies, InSTEC); later he received a MSc degree in Nuclear and Power Facilities in September 2006 on Polymer Flow for Drag Reduction Experiments and Theory (at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, ICTP in Trieste, Italy and InSTEC, Cuba). In InSTEC he worked as Radiological Protection Supervisor and teaching CFD to undergraduate students. From 2005 to 2006 he worked in CFD Modeling of Slug Flow Microreactors in Dortmund University, Germany. In September 2007 he started his PhD degree on University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands, on a project titled Efficient Sonochemical Microreactors. His tasks include the development of microfluidic devices for achieving the cavitation of microbubbles to perform Sonochemical reactions.
