Invitation to two day workshop ‘Research Management’

The Twente Graduate School at the University of Twente offers an increasing variety of integrated master's and PhD programmes for outstanding postgraduate students who aim at a career in scientific research. The programmes are set up in cooperation between faculties and research institutes. Through a broad selection of compulsory and elective courses, students are able to specialize in a research area of their interest and at the same time to broaden their perspective on the societal context of technology and research. All these aspects are integrated into the Twente Graduate School which aims to become a breeding ground for research talent. We set high standards and have a strict selection procedure for both research and education programmes as well as prospective students.

The 7^th and 8^th of June we will organize a two day workshop ‘Research Management’. This is a hands-on training for starting PhD students in all non-scientific aspects of carrying out research projects.

Date: Thursday 7^th of June and Friday 8^th of June. On Thursday from 9.00 till 18.00h and on Friday from 9.00 till 17.00h.

Costs: This course is free of charge. Participants are however expected to have permission from their supervisor (inform your supervisor if you are planning to take this course)

We would like to stress that participation in this Introductory Workshop is open to all doctoral students, a TGS registration is not required.

This PNUT event will be organized in cooperation with the Twente Graduate School and you are invited to participate. If you want to join the BBQ, please contact PNUT http://www.utwente.nl/p-nut/Events/

The screening of PHD the Movie will take place in the Agora at 20.00h. You do not have to register for the screening.Before the screening there will be a short presentation of the director of the Twente Graduate School Prof.dr. ir. P.C. de Weerd-Nederhof.
