APPLICATION, ADMISSION AND ENROLMENT PROCEDURE

Matching

Matching is a way for you, as a prospective student, and us, the TCS programme, to get mutually acquainted. The matching procedure offers you some insights into our programme, study materials and learning style. At the end of the matching procedure, you will receive a non-binding advice from the TCS programme.  This advice informs you about how well we feel you match to the TCS programme in terms of content and expectations and whether you have the motivation and learning skills for the programme. Our advice and your experience from the matching procedure will help you decide whether to study TCS or to look for a different study programme.

THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR TCS CONSISTS OF THREE STEPS:

  • Step 1. Apply via Studielink and Osiris (deadline 30 April 2024 23:59 CET)

Information on how to register via Studielink can be found on the general enrolment and admission page. After registering in Studielink, follow the instructions on how to finalise your registration in the university system Osiris.

Deadline completion registration Studielink and Osiris: 30 April 2024 23:59 CET

After registration via Studielink and Osiris, you will receive a reply from our admission office about whether you are conditionally admitted or not. If you are considered conditionally admitted, you may continue to the next step of the mandatory selection procedure.

Please be aware completing your registration in Studielink and Osiris takes time.  So, start your registration via Studielink at least a couple of weeks before the date of your preferred matching event.

  • Step 2. Complete mandatory matching procedure

Our matching procedure consists of assignments and a matching event. All are mandatory for the procedure to succeed. After your registration via Studielink and Osiris and being (conditionally) admitted, you will receive an e-mail with more detailed information on the assignments, and instructions on how to register for the matching event.

    Assignments

You must complete four individual assignments. The first assignment is a questionnaire about your motivation to study TCS and your interests and preferences within it, which is a great way to reflect on why you feel our programme is a good fit to your capacities and future goals. Further, there are three assignments on the following topics: Algorithmic Thinking, Mathematical Thinking and Logical Thinking.

Completing the assignments will take about half a day of your time. If you wish, you can split the assignments in parts that can be completed separately, even on different dates, at your own pace. At the matching event, we will reflect on some of the answers, in an anonymised way.
