Step 1: Finding an internship
There are two basic ways to find an internship: look for one yourself or look for one through a mediator. Searching for an internship yourself may take more time and effort but it may increase your chance of finding a suitable internship at a specific company or in a specific country. Using a mediator (such as AIESEC) will make finding an internship easier but you usually will have to join the mediator’s organisation. |

Faculty Contact PersonYour faculty contact person can offer support in finding an internship and advise you about the content of your internship or assignment. Please take into account a preparation time of six months to a year to find a suitable internship or assignment abroad. It is advised to contact your faculty’s internship coordinator as soon as possible. Also, almost every faculty organizes information meetings about internships and studies abroad. |
|
AIESEC“AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run internship provider, is the most prominent international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential and to have a positive impact on society. They provide students with a great internship and development programme, to develop themselves on a broader level next to their studies”. Visit the AIESEC website or stop by their office for more information (Bastille, room 319). |

International MinorAn international experience can also fit into your minor programme. Because a minor is meant to widen your knowledge and skills, doing your minor abroad can be an excellent option. |
|
International Study TourMany study associations organize (annual) study tours. A study tour usually lasts about a month and can be part of your minor programme when combined with extra subjects. |
