Manual external training
At the University of Twente, many Bachelor and Master Programmes include either a work placement or a final assignment which has to be carried out outside the university. From now on in this manual, the term ’external project’ will be used to indicate either a work placement or a final B.Sc. or M.Sc. assignment carried out outside the UT. Many rules regarding the organisation of these external projects are the same for each programme and therefore this manual is intended as a joint reference for the students of all the degree programmes mentioned below. However, the reader is advised that some details may differ, and is therefore advised to contact the co-ordinator of the programme of interest for more specific information. The information in this manual is related to all aspects of the placement or the assignment, such as preparation, carrying out and rounding off.
