Dutch Advanced Plus II

Aim

This advanced plus course will lead you to CEF-level B2.

Aimed at

The course is intended for students who have completed Dutch Advanced Plus I or a similar course and whose current level of Dutch is B2-1. After completion of this course, you are able to start preparations for the State Exam NT2, programme II.

Content

·	Dutch grammar and conventions

·	Stating & defending your opinion both in conversation and on paper

·	Writing texts

·	Understanding media, reading academic texts

·	Extension of advanced vocabulary

Organisation

Each lesson includes a variety of practical learning activities, both teacher directed and student initiated and consist of group, individual, and independent study. Exercises and assignments are aiming at preparation for the State Exam, programme II.

Admission criteria

Admission takes place after an intake by the course coordinator or on the basis of certificated obtained from earlier language courses.

Study load

Attendance at every lesson is essential. The course consists of nine lessons of two hours each, once per week. Homework is expected to take approximately two hours per lesson. The study load for this course is roughly equivalent to 1 ECTS.
