There is a special assessment for lecturers, consisting of an interview about specific language learning needs, a general language test and a class assessment of a lecture or tutorial conducted in English. The assessment is arranged through the department or faculty in which the lecturer works. |
· |
The assessment of support staff consists of two parts – a digital language test and an interview which will be scheduled by the faculty or service centre in which the employee works. |

Students who have the ambition to study at the University of Twente but are insecure about their level of English can do a self-test. This is not an official test that allows you entry to the university, but merely a test to help you find out whether you need additional language training. For questions and further information, please contact the TCP Language Centre. |
Validation
For study or work abroad, proof of language competence is often required. The TCP Language Centre validates language certificates and advises on possible ways to further improve one’s language skills for specific needs.
Colloquium Doctum
The TCP Language Centre offers Colloquium Doctum examinations for English and Dutch to prospective students of the UT who do not automatically meet the entrance requirements for admission to the Bachelor or Master programme of their choice.
