De-enrolment
DE-ENROLMENT:
a) |
To de-enrol you always have to do a de-enrolment request in Studielink. |
b) |
You can always de-enrol (without reason) by doing a de-enrolment request in Studielink. |
c) |
You will be de-enrolled as of the first day of the month following your de-enrolment request. Even if you graduate during the year and you wish to de-enrol immediately after graduating, the date of your de-enrolment request in Studielink applies. |
For example: if you graduate on the 25th of October and make a de-enrolment request in Studielink on the 5th of November, you will be de-enrolled as of the 1st of December! If you wish to be de-enrolled as of the 1st of November, you must make your de-enrolment request in Studielink in October.
d) |
You can never be de-enrolled with retrospective effect, except in the case of illness (with a medical certificate). |
e) |
In July and August you will not be de-enrolled. Your request for de-enrolment in Studielink will not be accepted by CSA. As from the first of September of the next academic year, your enrolment will be ended legally. |
REFUND OF TUITION FEES ON DE-ENROLMENT:
f) |
If you de-enrol during the year then you must always tick “restitution of paid tuition fees” in Studielink, unless you want to ‘suspend’ your studies. You also have to choose ‘restitution of paid tuition fees’ if you have paid your tuition fees in 12 instalments! |
g) |
The restitution of tuition fees will be carried out in 12ths. For example: if you want to de-enrol as of the 1st of May you can receive restitution over the months of May, June, July and August. |
h) |
As you can read at point e) you will not be de-enrolled for the months July and August. You don’t have the right to repayment of tuition fee of those two months and your instalment will not be stopped. |
If you are de-enrolled you will receive a statement of enrolment termination from CSA. You can use this statement if you apply for a benefit.
If you are receiving a Dutch student grant, you must inform DUO (Information Management Group) that your enrolment was terminated using the amendment form.
