Public holidays

The University of Twente is closed on nine public holidays per year:

·	New Year's Day (January 1st)

·	Good Friday

·	Easter Monday

·	Queen's Birthday (April 30th)

·	Liberation Day (May 5th)

·	Ascension Day

·	Whit Monday

·	Christmas Day (December 25th)

·	Boxing Day (December 26th)

On top of that, the university is generally closed on the Friday after Ascension Day and around the turn of the year for reasons of efficiency. For specific holidays in the near future, please refer to the calendars on this website.
