Academic calendar

The academic calendar (Dutch: "jaarcirkel") of the University of Twente is the set of boundary conditions in which all scheduled educational activities of all Bachelor's and Master's programmes should be fitted. The academic calendar determines the beginning of the academic year, which weeks are determined for lectures, written examinations, academic holidays, etc.

From the academic year 2009-2010 onwards, there is a joint academic calendar for 3TU. All academic calendars will be published on this page as soon as they have reached their final stage. Generally, the academic calendar for the next academic year is published around Christmas.

The 4th quartile of every academic calendar deliberately contains one lecture week more (marked "C") than the other quartiles to compensate for public holidays in this period.

More detailed time-schedules will be published timely and with regular updates.
