Student Portal University of Twente improved

Improved Student Portal online!

Last year the University of Twente introduced the first (beta) version of the Student Portal. Find all relevant information such as timetables, news, and education-related announcements. You will be able to customize the portal to suit your individual preferences, and to access to your personal information such as their transcripts. A mobile version of the portal will also be launched; with your smartphone you will always be just a few taps away from the most important information.

The new version represents a significant improvement over the current version. It is more user-friendly and it has a more logical structure and interface. The University of Twente’s portal developers kept the user in mind when building the new version.

The improved Student Portal is divided into two parts: a general section and a personal page. The general section contains information that is identical for all users. You can decide for yourselves which features and gadgets you want on your personal page, similar to the iGoogle experience. Once logged in, you can consult personal information (such as their transcripts) in a secure environment. Now that the system is ready, new personal gadgets are being developed. You will soon be able to create gadgets yourselves thanks to the open-source architecture of the portal.

Student Portal for mobile phones

In addition to the improved portal, the University of Twente is also launching a version for smartphones. Important information such as education-related announcements, timetable changes and grades can be viewed right on a smartphone screen. The mobile version is available for the smartphone platforms used by the vast majority of students (Android and iPhone).
