'Harde Knip' - concerning admittance to Master programme
Dear pre-Master student,
In line with the message of our university’s Rectorate (mail 22 September 2011) to all UT-students, we would like to confirm that the University of Twente will apply strict rules with regard to enrolment in our master’s degree programmes per 1 September 2012.
In Dutch this rule is called: ‘harde knip’, and it implies that students may only start taking master’s degree courses upon having completed their bachelor’s or pre-master’s programme completely.
Please be aware that the UT has to apply this rule as a result of Dutch legislation.
In case of exceptional and abrade circumstances (where being refused to take master’s degree courses will lead to an unreasonable situation), the student may lodge an appeal at the so-called ‘Harde Knip Commissie’, who will assess your appeal.
