(Un)Registering for exams
ATTENTION: Strict rules for registration and unregistration for exams |
As of block 1B (2011-2012) strict rules for registration and unregistration for exams are used at the UT. REGISTATION: When you want to sit an exam, you must register through Osiris within the registration period (for exact dates look in the rosters http://www.utwente.nl/so/student/onderwijs/roosters/ or the UT-year schedule http://www.utwente.nl/so/roosterwerkgroep/jaarcirkels/ ). If you did not register before the closing date, there is no possibility to sit the exam. When you take the exam unregistered, your work will not be assessed or the result will not be recorded in Osiris. So, enrol in time for an exam! UNREGISTRATION: When you did register for an exam, but on a later moment you decide not to go and sit the exam, you must unregister. This can be done through Osiris until the Sunday at the beginning of the examination period. After that you can unregister up until 24 hours before the starting time of the exam, by sending an e-mail to Student Services (studentservices@utwente.nl ). In case you did not unregister and you don’t take the exam, this will be considered as an insufficient result, and be recorded as such in Osiris. This could have major consequences for pre-master’s students, because this “unused examination” will count in the maximum of 3 examination sittings that may be used for pre-master’s courses. So, unregister when you decide not to sit an exam! |
