Internship / Industrial training
The Internship or Industrial training is a compulsory part of the Master’s program Nanotechnology. The experience in this period is a great help in orientation on the career with an academic Master’s diploma. For Dutch students an industrial training will take place in industry in the Netherlands or abroad or at another university outside the Netherlands. For international students there is a choice to do either internship/industrial training or a research project in any of the research groups at the University of Twente.
International students should also contact Rik Akse during the arrangement of the internship. (h.a.akse@utwente.nl )
The course name is Internship/Industrial training, course code 19340950.
The minimal duration of the training period is 10 weeks and the upper limit is 20 weeks. If you spend more time than 10 weeks for your internship, your MSc-project will become shorter. The minimal duration of the MSc-project should be 6 months. The credits to be earned for the internship are 15 EC (minimum) to 30 EC (maximum).
It is important to plan the internship early and to know how you are assisted in the organization of a training position fulfilling the requirements of the Faculty Science and Technology. Also, take care that you will be authorized to visit the Blackboard site Internships TNW (under organizations). At this site, you find information about experiences in the past, internship offers and all the necessary forms.
From one year to at least 3 months prior to start orientation by submitting the application form in SMS (Student Mobility System) which you can find in ‘my UT applications’.
