BACKGROUND

Rainer Harms is Assistant Professor (tenure track) at NIKOS, University of Twente. Prior to this position, he was Assistant Professor at the Department of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, University of Klagenfurt, Austria (Habilitation), and Researcher at the WWU Münster, Germany (Doctorate).

Rainer was visiting Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien), at Klagenfurt University, and at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

EDITORIAL ACTIVITIES

Rainer is member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Department Editor of the Zeitschrift für KMU und Entrepreneurship. In addition to that, he is guest editor for special issues of IJEI, IJEV, and IJEBR, and has reviewed for numerous journals.

 

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Rainer’s research activities revolve around entrepreneurship, innovation management, and organization. He prefers quantitative analyses, but also embraces qualitative studies and conceptual work. In his research projects, Rainer enjoys international collaborations and cooperates with Entrepreneur of the Year Germany.

 

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Rainer has taught courses on business administration in general, and entrepreneurship and innovation management in particular. He taught at bachelor-, master-, and PhD level at Universities such as Hochschule Lichtenstein, ICN Nancy, TU Berlin, TU Dortmund, U of Klagenfurt, UTwente, WU Vienna, and WWU Münster.
