Executive Board regrets the departure of Prof. Kuipers

Prof. J.A.M. Kuipers, director of research at the research institute Impact, will leave for TU Eindhoven, where he will hold a chair in process technology. Some members of staff from his group will also accompany him to Eindhoven.
The Executive Board of the University of Twente regrets the
departure of Prof. Kuipers, which comes unexpectedly. However, the
EB would naturally like to wish him every success in Eindhoven.
The Executive Board will shortly be meeting the dean of the
Faculty of Applied Sciences and the business director of Impact in
order to discuss the consequences of this departure, both for
students and for the research projects. The agenda will also
include the selection of an individual who can take over the post
of director of research on a temporary basis. The line of research
that Impact is currently engaged in, which focuses on the
strengthening and renewal of 'energy and resources', will remain
unaffected.
