Research

Within MIRA, research is grouped into three strategic research orientations (SROs). All three have their own full chairs that guard the fundamental scientific value of the research. Furthermore, each SRO holds two clinical chairs. These chairs facilitate the cooperation with medical specialists, aiming to develop applicable technological products. The patients’ welfare, both in health and during treatments, is always the central objective.

What distinguishes MIRA from other research institutes in Europe, are the entrepreneurial chairs. One entrepreneurial chair is or will be appointed per SRO. As economic and time factors are crucial for the incorporation of new clinical methods into society, MIRA’s organizational set-up will aid effectively in bringing technology to the patient.
