16 Apr 2013 - Researchers photograph active ingredient in cannabis plants Researchers from the University of Twente’s MESA+ and MIRA research institutes have succeeded in visualizing THC, the active ingredient of cannabis, in intact plant structures.

11 Apr 2013 - University of Twente develops tiny gradient chip Nanotechnologists at the University of Twente’s MESA+ research institute have developed a tiny chip that makes it easy to create micrometre scale gradients. Gradients are gradual transitions in specific properties, such as acidity. This newly-developed system can be used to efficiently measure the reaction kinetics of various chemical or biological reactions.

3 Apr 2013 - De kleinste cover aller tijden De VPRO Gids heeft in het MESA+ Nanolab van de Universiteit Twente de allerkleinste cover van een magazine laten maken dat ooit is geproduceerd. De nanocover is kleiner dan de doorsnee van een menselijke haar. Daarnaast bracht wetenschapsprogramma Labyrinth een uitzending die in het teken stond van nanotechnologie.
