Cleanroom

The cleanroom is a service facility for MESA+, companies and researchers around the globe. About 200 users are enjoying the equipment and facilities that the cleanroom has to offer.

One of the unique features of the cleanroom of MESA+ is that the users themselves, instead of the technicians, operate the equipment. The technicians take care of the maintenance and keep the equipment up-to-data. MESA+ organises the necessary training to enable the users to use the available equipment and facilities.

Users can rent cleanroom space and rent contracts can extend over multiple years. The rates vary for academic and commercial use.

The management of MESA+ has the ambition that the cleanroom will become one of the three best clean rooms of Europe, both in quality and range of equipment as well in scientific results produced with help of the facilities of the cleanroom. The clean room already functions as a model for realising start-up companies and efficiënt exploitation.
