Wadinko N.V.

Wadinko is a regional venture capital company, which aims to promote economic activity – and hence employment – in the province of Overijssel, the Noord-Oostpolder and the south-west part of the province of Drente.

Venture capital operation
Wadinko takes a long-term stake in new or existing high potential businesses. The participation consists of an injection of capital, know-how and management support. Wadinko is for businesses that wish to set up as an autonomous unit or to expand or innovate.

Basic principles
In choosing the businesses in which it wishes to invest Wadinko seeks to obtain a balanced geographic distribution in the working area and a sound spread of risks. It always negotiates a substantial stake when taking a participating interest. It prefers businesses in which the management board members themselves are or will become shareholders.
Initially, Wadinko took interests mainly in businesses active in the fields of plastics, water or environmental technology or in related fields. However, it has now expanded its area of interest and is willing to consider taking an interest in businesses that have no direct relationship with the above fields.

The capital invested by Wadinko comes from the dividends received by WMO Beheer N.V. from Wavin B.V.
