Top scheme and accounting
Top scheme
For starting entrepreneurs with innovative ideas the University of Twente (UT) offers an attractive TOP arrangement (temporary entrepreneurial positions) for free. This will help you bridge the first and usually difficult year of your enterprise, offering basic financing, support and advice. The arrangement is available to everyone who has a business idea. The service or product should match research activities of the university. After a year your company needs to be self supporting.
The TOP arrangement offers the starter a full package of support, including basic financing, assistance in getting started and practical support in technical and business management areas. What distinguishes TOP is the link with a university discipline or faculty. You stay in contact with scientists and technical staff, and can use university labs and equipment.

An interest free loan of € 20.000,- |

Assistance with municipal/provincial/central government regulations
Opportunity zone: assistance with regulations and funding
Kennispark (Knowledge Park) has been designated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs as an ‘opportunity zone’. This means that start-ups or fast growers can obtain coaching and assistance in the areas of grants, funding, procedures and regulations. This is how the Ministry is endeavouring to increase the number of businesses and promote their growth.
Knowledge Park has appointed Patrick Bliek of UT knowledge institute NIKOS as formula manager of the opportunity zone. The formula manager helps businesses to develop and grow, for example by assisting them in applying for permits and grants. The Twente formula manager concentrates above all on fast growers.
