IKT: Twente Industrial Network
The foundation known as Twente Industrial Network (IKT) is an overarching regional business organisation in which seven local industrial networks participate.
In addition to these circles, which are primarily of a local nature, IKT's general activities are organised in the form of a number of working groups.
Local networks - Almelo and environs - Berkelland - Enschede - Haaksbergen - Hengelo and environs - Oldenzaal and environs - West-Twente |
Working groups - Finance & Economy - Entrepreneurship & Communication - Personnel & Organisation - Production, Logistics & Technology |
IKT has operated as an important network in Twente for almost 30 years. Some key statistics are:
- |
1,100 participating businesses; |
- |
100 managers play an active part in various IKT management boards; |
- |
60 meetings a year, which are attended by some 5,000 participants; |
- |
90% of businesses that have a workforce of 100 or more are members. |
Participants
The participants in IKT consist not only of industrial businesses but also of many businesses and organisations directly related to them. These businesses should operate in the business-to-business sector and be established in the greater Twente region. In addition, ‘old entrepreneurs’ can be members of IKT in their personal capacity for a minimum fee, provided they have their own private company (BV) and/or hold a non-executive directorship.
