News on Accreditation and title of MEEM programme (Nov. 2007)

The MEEM programme is in the final stages of the accreditation process. After sending an Information Dossier to the accreditation organisation NVAO, in August, an expert-panel visited the programme to talk to staff and students and look at materials. The panel wrote a positive advisory report to NVAO. We expect to hear the decision of NVAO at the beginning of the new year.

Earlier we informed you that accreditation was requested for the title ‘MEEM’: Master of Environmental and Energy Management. However, a recent change in our laws now allows accredited post-graduate programmes like MEEM to award the MSc title.

Thus, starting from the 2008-2009 academic year, MEEM graduates will receive the title MSc Environmental and Energy Management.
