Meida He from P.R. China
One year ago, I decided to join the master program in University of Twente to study in the ‘Master of Environmental and Energy management’. Global climate change, environmental problems and energy crises are commonly shared concerns and I was committed to get involved in making a change.
Now, I feel delighted and proud that I have made the right decision to participate in this program.
The Master of Environment and Energy Management programme, and especially the energy management track, aims to tackle the challenges of climate change and energy shortage. It is keeping pace with developments from an international perspective, like North-South development. The subjects Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Cleaner Production (CP) and Energy Audit enhance our knowledge on environmental and energy management, environment and energy policy, environmental and energy technology, energy efficiency, etc. The interactive teaching methods will definitely benefit our future career as well.
Before my studies, I got involved in cleaner production in the food industry in China. During this one-year study in the Netherlands, I got acquainted with relevant sophisticated environmental technologies and management methods used in the developed countries, and I sharpened my critical thinking at the same time. What is more important is the valuable chance to making friends coming from all over the world. We have lots of wonderful cultural communication and interactive activities.
Without doubt, this experience is exciting and I would cherish it all my life!
