Njong Brendan Banye from Cameroon
I embarked on the MBA in Environmental and Energy Management in the university of Twente having previously completed an undergraduate degree in environmental geography at the university of Dschang in Cameroon. The MBA (Environment and Energy management) at the Cartesius Institute, University of Twente provides an excellent opportunity to build up these degrees and obtain an international perspective on environmental issues such as environmental technology, environmental policy, management approaches and new initiatives.
Highlights of the course include the exposure to leading speakers, thinkers and doers in the field of environmental and energy management; sharing learning experiences with classmates from 18 different countries representing all the continents of the world; the spirit of interaction and cooperation between and amongst the students and the lecturers; research projects with multinational companies and organizations; and the interesting and diverse field trips to different interesting sites in the Netherlands. For my research project, I was co-operating with a multi-national chemical company-Akzo Nobel. Returning to Cameroon shortly after completing the MBA, I will be able to apply the highly meaningful knowledge acquired in various functions. Honestly, the Cartesius institute of the University of Twente is a place to be.
