Entrepreneurship Research 2020 The Nikos fifth anniversary seminar |
University of Twente Friday May 12, 13.45-18.00 Conference Centre Drienerburght, room A |
Entrepreneurship, specifically knowledge based or high tech entrepreneurship is the core topic of research at Nikos, the Dutch Institute of Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship at the University of Twente. As part of the celebration of our fifth anniversary we host a debate on the research topics of the (near) future. As the title “Entrepreneurship research 2020” suggests, programming entrepreneurship research requires a clear vision on developments determining the opportunities of this field. In the seminar we will discuss the development of such a vision. Defining entrepreneurship as a process of opportunity recognition, opportunity development and exploitation we developed the NIKOS research framework based on a revisited social system theory approach. |

For analysing and designing entrepreneurial (support) processes we defined four dimensions of entrepreneurial processes. |
On each of these dimensions of entrepreneurship research two short presentations coming from different angles will start up discussion. We will address research development from a scientific point of view including practical relevance of research methods, theories and tools we develop. |
