Public Governance Law
Main focus & activities
The Chair is responsible for research and education on matters of Constitutional & Administrative Law, Good Public Legal Governance, Privatisation, Hybridisation and Supervision, Government & Markets, Regulation and Technology Innovation, Environmental & Sustainability Law, and Legal Design Methodology.
A special focus lies with multi-actor regulatory governance in a multi-level context, in which public law stretches beyond the traditional scope of the Trias Politica. This is also combined with a focus on (the design of) smart rules & regimes concerning facilitating and safeguarding of desired, as well as protecting against undesired effects of technological innovation – with a focus on sustainability, nano-medicine and infrastructures.
