Department Finance and Accounting

The research and education of our department focuses on three main areas:

·	management accounting

·	corporate finance and risk management

·	public management

The three areas are represented by the chairs of the same name. Techniques from business economics, operations research and economics of the public sector are employed. Recent research includes valuation and financing of companies, business investments in research and development, risk management of financial institutions, performance management in the public and private sector, budgetary policy of central government and public-private partnerships. Many department members are also engaged in research or policy advice commissioned by government or private firms.
