Changes (pre-)master Public Administration 2011-2012
Dear student (pre)master Public Administration,
For 2011-2012 you will see the following changes in the study programme.
From six to four specialisations
The specialisations Environment and Sustainability and Higher Education are now integrated in the specialisation Policy and Governance. For this purpose from both specialisations one course is available as a choice and two general courses in the specialisation Policy and Governance have an emphasis on these two fields.

Most changes above are minor changes or just renamed titles, so you can safely do the new course and new exams. Exceptions:
· |
Methods of Policy Deliberation: Course has changed, exams in old style are available in 2011. |
· |
Economic Methods of Policy Analysis : Course is not teached last year but replaced by Public Sector Reform only for 2010-2011. |
· |
Public sector reform: Course is available, so regular exams are available. |
Fraud
We have noticed that not all students are fully aware of the consequences of (exam-) fraud and therefore we bring again to your attention that:
· |
The Examination Board can withhold a student the right of taking exams for a maximum period of one year for conducting fraud. An exam supervisor observing fraud will always report this to the Examination Board. |
· |
The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices during an examination is prohibited and will result in suspicion of fraud. |
Of course we do not think this is a problem for you.
Premaster
Although the contents of the premaster is not substantially changed, the title of the course Concept and Observation is changed to Introduction to Research methods (Course code 201100060). The course Research Methods is changed to Research Methods and Design (Course code 194119030)
If Concept and Observation or Research Methods is on your premaster list of courses and you did not do an attempt on this courses, please follow the new courses. If you already did one attempt on one of those courses, you can still do a second attempt this year for the old course. Still the rule applies that you can only do two attempts and have to finish your premaster within one year.
I wish you a great holiday and for later: Good luck with the continuation of your study!
