Master Premaster Curriculum and changes 2011 - 2012
Master Business Administration
Dear students in the Premaster and Master of the MSc Business Administration programme,
In september the first semester of the MSc Business Administration programme will start. With this letter we would like to inform you about a number of arrangements and changes.
Only for premaster students:
In august you will have the opportunity to take the last exams needed to finalize your premaster program. This would mean that by the start of the 1st semester you cannot be sure yet about whether you finalized your premaster.
The arrangement is that if you have a reasonable expectation that the exams you took in the last 2 weeks of August will lead to positive results, you may sit in with the masters courses in the first 3 weeks of September. In the unfortunate event that after these 3 weeks it turns out that you did not pass one or more of your premaster courses you will not be allowed to further participate in the masters courses (this will be checked administratively when registering for the exams) but instead you have to concentrate on and give priority to finalizing the premaster or you have to stop the premaster altogether (Student’s Charter (incl OER) Dutch or English version.). The professors of the masters courses themselves are not allowed to make any exceptions. If you have special circumstances you should contact the study advisor (Charlotte Roring) and she can guide you through to the Exam Committee if needed.
Premaster courses
Although the contents of the premaster is not substantially changed, the title of the course Concept and Observation is changed to Introduction to Research methodology (Course code 201100098). The course Research Methodology is changed to Methodology & Research Design (Course code 194119030)
If Concept and Observation or Research Methodology is on your premaster list of courses (original acceptance letter) and you did not do an attempt on this courses, please follow the new courses. If you already did one attempt on one of those courses, you can still do a second attempt for the old course. Still the rule applies that you can only do two attempts and have to finish your premaster within one year.
For master students:
For all tracks the MSc Business Administration programme will start in September (2011) and February (2012).
Academic programme 2011-2012 MSc Business Administration per track
As of 2010/2011 the MSc Business Administration program has two types of flexible options:

We would further like to inform you about the following rules and arrangements.
-UT BSc students in Business Administration may begin following courses in the Master's programme in Business Administration in 2011-2012 after passing a minimum of 170 EC in their Bachelor’s programme. Completion of the Bachelor's programme takes priority over the Master's courses.
-To inspire you and guide you in the process of choosing and obtaining a graduation assignment in the second semester, all tracks organize trackmeetings during the first semester. Check the course schedules on internet or contact your trackcoordinator about the dates.
Fraud
We have noticed that not all students realise the consequences of (exam-) fraud and therefore we bring again to your attention that:
· |
The Examination Board can withhold a student the right of taking exams for a maximum period of one year for conducting fraud. An exam supervisor observing fraud will always report this to the Examination Board. |
· |
The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices during an examination is prohibited and will result in suspicion of fraud. |
Of course we do not think this is a problem for you, but within our School we had some bad experiences.
