Julia R. Kotzebue works as research associate and Ph.D. student at CSTM since 2007. She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and International Organisations from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Her Ph.D. project “Spatial Misfits in Multilevel Governance Policy Implementation Processes: Impacts on a Small Island State” investigates the implementation of Malta’s transport, integrated costal zone management and renewable energy policies. The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Hans Th. A. Bressers.
As research associate Julia R. Kotzebue is also engaged in several EU research projects, like Gfors (Governance for Sustainability) and SAUCE (Schools at University for Climate and Energy). Thereby she cooperates with colleagues from Universities and Research Institutes of Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain, Denmark and Latvia.
