Work experience

From June 2004 till 0ctober 2010: Working as Administrative Director at CESMO (The Center for the Middle- Eastern Strategic Studies). My job at CESMO includes mainly responsibility of the accounting & human resources. In addition, to writing project proposals, bringing funds for the center, networking with international organizations and embassies, assisting in training & working as Project Director or Assistant.

From February 2008 till May 2010: Working as a facilitator at the project titled “Citizen Lebanon” that is organized by the NDI (National Democratic Institute) & CESMO.

·

From 2 March 2009 till 31 March 2009: Worked as a trainer for 6 one day trainings about “Active Citizenship” in a project titled “Engaging Youth through Community Development”. This project is implemented and managed by CESMO and OTI.

From1 July 2007 till 30 June 2009: Worked as a Project Assistant in a project titled “Promote the Rights of Foreign Workers in Lebanon”. This project is implemented and managed by CESMO and OMSAR and funded by EU under AFKAR II Project. The goal of this project is to promote the rights of foreign workers in Lebanon and to make sure the Lebanese citizens treat foreign workers as they want to be treated themselves.

From 13 till 15 January, 2008: Worked as a trainer in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, in a workshop titled "Effective Communication skills" with the cooperation of ECC Center (The Educational and Consulting Center).

From November 7 till 29, 2007: Earned a certificate upon participating in International Visitor Leadership Program titled "Grassroots Democracy". This program was sponsored by United States Department of State, Bureau of Education And Cultural Affairs, and took place in United States (Washington Dc, New Hampshire, New Orleans, Seattle). There participants where from 14 different countries.

From November 3 till 6, 2007: Worked as a trainer in Saudi Arabia for the Irish Embassy staff in Riyadh, in a workshop titled Communication Skills and Teamwork" ( the workshop was in English Language).

From March 15, 2007 till 2008: Worked as Project Assistant in the "Restoring Citizens' Involvement in Local Public Affairs" project. This project is implemented by CESMO (Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies and sponsored by MEPI (Middle East Partnership Initiative). The goal of this project is to restore Lebanese citizens' faith in democracy and participation – starting from the lower level that is districts.

From Spring 2005 till Spring 2007: Taught a one credit course titled "Learning Resource Techniques" at the Lebanese American University (LAU), Byblos.

From August 2005 till March 2006: Worked as Project Assistant and a trainer in the “workers' Right" Project .This project aims at promoting the most important worker rights guaranteed by Lebanese labor laws and make sure they are enforced, mainly in North-Lebanon. This project was as a result of coordination between CESMO and Amideast, Lebanon.

From June 2005 till February 2006: Worked as Project Assistant and a trainer in the “Strengthening Democracy through Teaching Active Citizenship” Project. This project aims at promoting the Lebanese youth participation in the democratic process. This project was as a result of coordination between CESMO and Global Opportunities Fund (British embassy, Lebanon).

In July 2005: Earned a certificate upon participating in Escwa's regional Workshop on "Participatory Developmental Research".

From July till December 2004: Worked as Project Assistant and a trainer in the “Children Right Project” .This project aims at promoting and enforcing the implementation of the “Convention on the Right of the Child” in North Lebanon through raising awareness and organizing lobbying activities. This project was as a result of coordination between CESMO and Amideast, Lebanon.

From October 2002 till June 2004: Worked as Administrative Assistant at the Azm & Saade Association (NGO) at Bab- el Ramel, Tripoli, Lebanon. I am responsible for follow-up and coordination with the different sectors of the association and organization of a communications network with other NGOs, embassies and ministries. Also, I work in drafting progress, monitoring and evaluation reports, social studies and relevant correspondence. Moreover, I assist in planning and implementing comprehensive field surveys related to social issues & in the organization and implementation of workshops, seminars and meetings on various social issues.

Interest and Activities

Volunteering

From 2008 till now: Participating as volunteer member in the LAU alumni (Lebanese American University).

From 2004 till now: Participating as a volunteer member in UNV (United nation volunteer) in Lebanon.

From 2003 till now: Participating as a volunteer in Junior Achievement Lebanon Association (Injaz Lebanon). Worked as a volunteer trainer in the Personal Economics program from 2004 till now; and on 2005 I work as a regional coordinator for INJAZ in North Lebanon area. The Injaz programs help in general students in schools assess their personal skills and interest, explore career options, learn job-hunting skills, learn new communication skills, and discover the value of an education.

From 1999 till now: Participating as volunteer member in the AUB alumni (American university of Beirut).

From 1999 till now: Participating as a volunteer member in the Environment Protection Committee in Tripoli.

From 1999 till now: Being a volunteer member in the Hariri Alumni Foundation in Lebanon.

From 1998 till now: Participating as a volunteer member in Asdikaa AL Khir group in Tripoli. Our work is mainly to help the poor by providing food and clothes mostly in Ramadan month of each year. Also we provide assistant to all the Lebanese people in time of need mainly in war time.

On 21 November, 2007: Worked in United States as a volunteer with Northwest Harvest Cherry Street Food Bank organization. My job was basically to serve food for needed people.

On 19 November, 2007: Worked in United States as a volunteer in St. Bernard Project. The main goal of this project is to assist in rebuilding the houses in Louisiana (U.S) after Katrina. My job was specifically in Glass fiber installation.

From October 2005 till March 2006: worked as an Assistant to Charge D’Affairs in the LAU Model United Nations project (Global Classrooms).

From 2004 till 2005: Participating as a volunteer in Dar el Insan Association (NGO). This NGO works with the youth on issues such as conflict resolution, communication skills, etc.

From July till August 2004: Worked as a volunteer researcher on the “Mine Action Programs” with the UNDP in Beirut.

In 2004: Worked as an animator for children in an NGO cinema club in Tripoli.

In summer 2004: Worked in a summer camp for children between ages of 8- 12 in Tripoli.
