Projects in Uganda and Mozambique, (Nuffic)
As part of CHEPS’ commitment to improving higher education in developing countries, several Nuffic-funded projects have taken place over the last few years in Sub-Saharan countries. In Uganda CHEPS led a project (2004-2007) to strengthen the capacity of the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in the field of labour market studies, quality assurance, credit transfer, capacity development, and information provision.
In Mozambique, CHEPS has been working in partnership with the Higher Education Division of the Mozambican Ministry of Education and Culture since 2004. The projects cover five closely related aspects: the development of an integrated and coordinated approach to quality assurance and accreditation, the development of a credit accumulation and transfer system, the design of a system-wide management information system, the reform of higher education funding and the development of management and capacity in the Ministry.
