Admission criteria

attention! Before you start the admission procedure for the (pre-) Master's program Psychology you should check if you meet the following admission requirements:

If you are a Dutch speaking student, please refer to the Dutch version of this website.

1)

The Psychology Master degree programme is only offered in Dutch! Non-Dutch students must demonstrate sufficient fluency in the Dutch language before they can start the application procedure. The level should be NT2 the highest level available. An appropriate language exam is organized by the IB-Groep (please contact the IB-Groep if you want more information). Once a year the University of Twente organises a Dutch language course for mainly German students. German students can find more information about the UT and the NT2 level on the German bachelor-website.

2)

An ILTS or TOEFL exam (for the English language) is not necessary for the admission.

3)

Applicants should have completed an appropriate educational programme (at least a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in an academic field) which is related to the field of Psychology. It depends on your prior professional/academic education if you will be admitted and if you have to follow a pre-master Psychology program before you can start with the master Psychology program. In the majority of cases you must first follow a pre-master Psychology program.

If you think you meet the requirements mentioned above, please fill in the application form and also send an email to studieadviseur-mps@utwente.nl.
