The Psychology Master's (MSc) degree course trains scientists and professionals to solve problems on the basis of scientific psychological evidence.
Problems related to industry and organizations, government and policy, health and safety, media and technology as well as education in a knowledge society frequently require solutions based on psychology. The application of technology in organizations may be important, but knowing how to work with technology is even more important. Health problems cannot be solved by medical treatment alone: psychological intervention is often more effective. Schools and other educational institutions mainly focus on learning and knowledge so psychology can contribute by offering insights for improvement.
The Master of Science in Psychology (MSc) programme trains scientists and professionals to apply psychological theories, which are based on scientific evidence and could be applied to analyze psychological problems and design, implement and evaluate psychological solutions. Within this master programme students can choose one track out of five major fields of Applied Psychology: Human Factors and Media Psychologya; Learning Sciences; Conflict, Risk and Safety; Mental Health Promotion as well as Health Psychology.
