Mechanical Engineering
|
Mechanical engineers focus on the machinery, the product and the production process. The Mechanical Engineering Master's degree course zooms in on one of these disciplines. Almost everything that has not been created by Nature is in some way a product of mechanical engineering. Examples include large-scale plants such as power stations, oil refineries, steel factories or flood barriers. Mechanical engineers also devise means of transport such as cars, trains, airplanes, rockets and electric scooters, and all kinds of applications e.g. in medicine and biomedicine, like robotcontrolled surgical tools and "smart" prostheses such as heart valves and miniature cameras for internal explorations.
