HBO students who finished their degree
If you have a Bachelor´s degree from a university of applied sciences (HBO), you can transfer to a one or two-year Master’s programme at the University of Twente. However, many HBO programmes do not tie in seamlessly with university Master’s programmes. This is because university-level programmes emphasize research and analytical skills, while HBO programmes are more focused on practical applications. In many cases, HBO Bachelor’s students therefore need to complete a supplementary university programme to bring their knowledge and skills up to the level required for admission to an academic Master’s programme.
After finishing your Bachelor’s degree you can be admitted to a pre-Master’s or directly to your chosen master’s programme as long as you meet certain requirements. These often relate to your command of English and knowledge of mathematics. Please keep in mind that:

Every Master’s programme has its own admission requirements. Carefully check the requirements of the Master’s you want to apply for. |
As a pre-Master’s student you will be formally enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme. This may have consequences for your tuition fee payment.
