Construction Management and Engineering

Complex, innovative and multidisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment require a new breed of engineers who are able to expertly combine engineering knowledge with management skills.

The construction industry is changing rapidly. New techniques, shifting roles, complicated logistics and globalization are having a major impact on the nature of construction projects. Complex, innovative and multidisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment call for a new breed of engineers who are able to expertly combine engineering knowledge with management skills. The Master's programme in Construction Management and Engineering (CME) can train you to be just such an engineer. A hands-on expert who is able to combine the technical aspects of civil engineering projects with the non-technical.

The 3TU Master’s programme in CME combines individual technical approaches to processes in which governance issues, societal trends and management methodologies are integrated using cutting edge technology. Key areas of study in the University of Twente’s CME programme include sustainable building, public-private governance, industrialization in engineering and construction, supply chain and IT, and risk management. The broad programme has been developed in close association with the construction industry and is process- and design-oriented as well as project-based.
