10 - What about my time schedule?
Minors are concentrated in the first semester of every academic year. In the first semester of your third and final Bachelor's year, you will spend two-thirds of your study time (20 out of 30 European Credits) on your minor.
· |
Courses which are only a part of one or more minors, will basically be taught on Monday mornings, Tuesday afternoons and Thursday afternoons. |
· |
Courses which are a part of one or more minors, but which are also scheduled in one or more regular curricula ("combi courses"), will basically be taught on Wednesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Friday mornings. |
Please note the following exceptions.
· |
Minors which are offered by (or in cooperation) with a third party, will sometimes have to adapt to the time schedules of those third parties, which may not coincide with regular UT time schedules. |
· |
In some minors, a field study, study trip or excursion is included. It will be clear that a choice for such a minor will have consequences for your time schedule. |
· |
Some minors are (at least partly) taught by lecturers who are not associated with UT full-time, which may cause a different time schedule for these minors. |
· |
In some programme minors, (BSK, CiT, TN, TW and WB), the minor curriculum will be arranged individually with every participant. In these minors, you can agree on a minor curriculum with one or more courses which are only taught in the second semester. |
· |
It can be proved (in Dutch) that it is fundamentally impossible to schedule all minors in such a way that they can be taken in combination with all regular Bachelor studies without any problems in the mutual time schedules. In the compilation of all time schedules, care is taken to minimise these problems and make sure that they only occur in the less popular combinations of minors and Bachelor studies. |
