Minor certificates

Successfully completing a minor can be topped of with a minor certificate in English or Dutch.

Please note the following details.

·

A minor certificate is a contribution to a student's academic portfolio to obtain an easier admittance to a master study, an internship, a final (graduation) assignment or a (first) professional position.

·

A minor certificate is not a formal diploma and has no legal status.

·

It is not possible to complete a minor "cum laude".

·

To obtain a minor certificate, a student will have to address a request to his/her own "Bureau Onderwijszaken" (BOZ). Please do so only if you are certain that you have successfully completed the minor to save your BOZ unnecessary work. When you are an external student you need to request a minor certificate from the BOZ of the department responsible for the minor.

·

A standard minor certificate is in English. If you wish to receive a minor certificate in Dutch, please inform your BOZ explicitly. Only one minor certificate will be provided (English or Dutch), no exchanges are allowed.

·

Minor certificates can be awarded for institutionalised minors (in Dutch) as well as individual minors.

·

There is no time limit between the completion of your minor and your request for a minor certificate.

·

A possible second (third, ...) extra-curricular minor can also be awarded with a minor certificate.

The above rules are a summary of the formal document "Certificering van minors aan de Universiteit Twente" (in Dutch).
