The ITC faculty will move to the Campus. The international character of the University of Twente will be further enhanced by making use of the extensive network of the Faculty of ITC. The relocation will also facilitate cooperation and interaction with other faculties. Moving to the Campus can also lead to synergy between the various areas of education and research, but it can also offer benefits through the joint use of educational and research facilities, facility services, workplaces and technical maintenance services.
The construction of the new building will start with demolishing facades October 2020. The new building will be an international meeting centre and knowledge institute and should be suitable for hosting international delegations and students.
