Types of Furnished Accommodation

ABOUT OUR OFFERS: International Office aims to offer accommodation that suits your personal needs and preferences. As a result, our offers will always reflect the best available housing option for you at that moment. Please note that accommodation is allocated on first come, first served basis. Refusing an offer will place you at the bottom of the list of applicants and, hence, will reduce your chances of obtaining furnished housing through mediation by International Office. We therefore strongly encourage all of our students to explore alternative ways of finding accommodation.

UT On-Campus Accommodation

International Office manages approximately 300 rooms on the UT campus. All UT on-campus rooms are private, while bathroom and kitchen facilities are often shared with other students. Some rooms have a private bathroom and/or kitchen, but availability is limited and rent prices are higher.

All on-campus accommodation offered by International Office is furnished. All rooms contain a bed (including mattress, sheets, duvet cover, pillow, and pillow case), closet, desk, desk light, desk chair, and waste basket. The kitchen is fully equipped, including utensils, plates, cookware, and a fridge. One-room apartments contain a private fridge and television.

Rent prices for UT on-campus accommodation varies from € 300 to € 500 per month. Electricity, water, gas, and a wireless internet connection are included in the rent prices. More specific information about rent prices, facilities, and procedures will be provided by email once you receive the accommodation offer.

Stadsweide Apartments

The renovated and modern Stadsweide apartments are located in the bustling city centre of Enschede - about 20 minutes by bike or public transport from the UT campus. The shops, market, post-office, and railway station are within walking distance.

The unique Stadsweide apartments feature fully-furnished, spacious apartments with maximum privacy, private bedrooms, and a private or shared kitchen, bathroom and balcony. The apartments include many extras such as a television, safe, fan, and private refrigerator. Bed linen and kitchen utensils are not included.

Rent prices for the Stadsweide apartments vary between € 320 and € 400 per month for rooms with shared facilities and € 745 for fully private apartments (private bedroom, kitchen and bathroom). Electricity, water, gas, and a wireless internet connection are included in the rent prices. More information about rent prices, facilities, and procedures will be provided by email once you receive the accommodation offer.

Residential Towers

The modern Residential Towers are located in the vibrant city centre of Enschede, approximately 20 minutes by bike or public transport from the UT campus. The shops, market, post-office, and railway station are within walking distance.

The fully-furnished rooms (18 m2) with balcony have private sanitary facilities and shared kitchen facilities. These comfortable living spaces include many extras such as a television, land-line telephone, safe, fan, toiletries upon arrival (e.g. shower gel, shampoo), private refrigerator as well as a wired internet connection (an optional network cable is available in exchange for a € 5 deposit).

Renting a room in the Residential Towers includes exclusive access to all available hotel facilities, such as 24/7 reception service, weekly linen changes, weekly room cleaning service, and laundry service. For an additional charge, breakfast service can also be included. The rent for a room in the Residential Towers depends on your rental period and other circumstances.
