Twente Water Week: Joining Forces in Water

The Twente Water Centre is pleased to announce the first ever Twente Water Week: Joining Forces in Water which will take place between August 30 and September 5^th. As part of the Twente Water Centre’s scientific council’s ambitions for this year, they would like to better promote cross-linkages between the researchers in all TWC relevant groups as well as bring more attention to the interesting water-related research that is taking place here at the UT. The TWW is an opportunity to showcase current research, education and talent that is part of the Twente Water Centre. It is envisioned to be an opportunity for both PhD's and staff from all different groups to network and learn about each other's work. This is one step that the TWC sees as being important to enabling and supporting more integrated team work across the UT.

Here are the events that will take place during this week!

Symposium: Uniting Water Research including contributions from

·	Hetty Klaver, Director Delta Program Ijsselmeer Region – to discuss innovation in the water sector

·	Panel discussion with the TWC Scientific Council on the hurdles and opportunities associated with integrated water research here at the UT

-	PhD Poster Session with Prize

-	Field trip to the Kristalbad and networking gathering

-	Water basin game led by Arjen Hoekstra
-	Public Lecture on Flood safety in the Netherlands with Ties Rijcken
