CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCHERS IN PSYCHOLOGY AND HEALTH
The second conference of the Association for Researchers in Psychology and Health (ARPH) will take place on January 31 and February 1, 2013 at the Drienerburght, University of Twente. At the conference Dutch and Belgian researchers present their research in the domain of psychology and health.
The keynote lectures will be presented by Professor Reinout Wiers (University of Amsterdam,The Netherlands): Implicit cognition, substance use and health: new perspectives and interventions;
Professor Fabrizio Benedetti (University of Turin Medical School, Italy): The placebo response: how words and rituals change the patient’s brain; and Associate Professor Kirk Warren Brown (Virginia Commonwealth University,USA): Mindful response to stress: Health-supportive evidence from neuroscience and psychology.
Themes like Internet delivered interventions, psychosocial factors in chronic disease, fatigue, ehealth, social normative influence on eating behavior, acceptance in chronic pain, etc. will be discussed.
The conference is organized by the department of Psychology, Health & Technology (PHT): Christina Bode, Nikki Damen, Stans Drossaert, Erik Taal, Gerben Westerhof, Jobke Wentzel. Research on ehealth and health promotion and assessment is carried out within the Institute for Innovation and Governance Studies.
