Description:

In this project we examine how adolescents with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) use the internet in relation to their disease. To this aim, all adolescents (aged 10-18) who are under treatment for JIA in the Utrecht Wilhelmina Children’s hospital are asked to fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaires contain questions on how often, how and for what purposes (information, interaction or entertainment) the children use the internet and what they consider to be the most significant advantages and disadvantages. In addition to descriptive analyses, it is examined how internet use is associated with various quality of life measures.
