Short Description:

Evaluation of the quality of communication between care-givers and patients (with cerebral palsy). Main research questions are: Which quality gaps are experienced by CP-patients’ parents and involved professionals with respect to the communication in the integrated care around Cerebral Palsy patients aged 4-8 years in the Netherlands? Which of these quality gaps are most in need of improvement according to CP patients’ parents and involved professionals? Does the use of the online communication-tool ‘CP-Helpdesk’ contribute to the improvement of these quality gaps? Quasi-experimental mixed methods design consisting of 3 subsequent steps in which the focus of each subsequent step is being directed by the specific outcomes of the previous one. Theoretical background: Chronic Care Model, Service Quality model, Theory of communication networks.
