Rapport RVZ Gezondheid 2.0

In February the Council on Public Health and Health Care (RVZ) will publish an explorative study on Health 2.0. This advisory study deals with the possible impact of Health 2.0 developments on the ‘classical’ administrative relationships between care consumers, care providers and health care insurers. Roles, tasks and responsibilities will eventually change by 2.0 developments which in turn affects the role of the ministry of Health, who commissioned the study in 2008.

A concept of the study was recently presented at the Knowledge Chamber, a meeting of leaders of knowledge institutions at the ministry of Health to set the agenda for knowledge and innovation (among them Dr. Anne Flierman President of the Executive Board of the University of Twente).

It was decided that the working programs of among others the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), Health Council (GR), Council on Public Health and Health Care (RVZ), Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw), Trimbos Institute, should be in tune on the subject of eHealth, telemedicine and health informatics.
