ICTS PC room for general use

ICTS runs a generally accessible PC-room in the reading room of the University Library in the Vrijhof. All students and staff of the UT may use this room free of charge, for example for research work in the library.

Faculties and students can rent the ICTS pc-room or part of it for certain hours and periods. By mutual arrangement this is also possible outside the standard opening hours. (equal to the UB opening hours).

Hardware and software

The PC room has 69 work stations. All PCs are equipped as complete IT work stations. All work stations are connected to the print service and the UTnet. Windows XP, as well as MS-Office software packages run on all PCs. Various other applications are available.

Specific software for faculties can be installed by ICTS.

Laboratories

Besides the general PC-room, in some university buildings there are laboratories available with PCs. The management of these labs goes via the faculties. Because both the policy and the rules concerning the laboratories are different for each faculty, applications to use these rooms should go through the faculty concerned.

At the bottom of this page there is some information on several of the laboratories at the university.
