The purchase of notebooks for UT staff is restricted to a choice of a standard model. The selection is the result of a Europe-wide tender for UT as a whole. The chosen suppliers are:

On the offered desktop, notebooks en monitors are standard 3 years warranty. The desktop and notebook computers will be delivered with one license of Microsoft Windows. ICTS installs the operating system.

Domain Account
Every UT notebook has a log-in name and password, known as the Domain Account. For more information, go to “The Domain Account” on the website.
Smartphones
There are rapid developments in the field of smartphones. Several times a year, ICTS evaluates whether the standard models are still up-to-date. Therefore, the standard list of mobile handsets is also updated frequently.
ICTS tests smartphones thoroughly and advises against ordering handsets that deviate from the standard. It has been found that, particularly the wireless network (eduroam), does not work smoothly on all smartphone models. In addition, during a period of repair of a faulty handset that deviates from the standard and that was ordered after the 1st of February 2012, it will not be possible to provide a loan handset.
